Stunning Mid-Century Gem Near Campus and Gardens

This house was perfect for our weekend getaway. The hosts are responsive and the place is unique. Walking to campus would not be a great option due to the need to cross some busy roads, but it’s a great location. It is private and cozy.

We ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS HOUSE! Hard to narrow down (queried the group) 1. Was beautiful. 2. Lots of interesting books (i took pics for later!). 3. Live plants inside! 4. Various gathering places that allowed for small and family connection. 5. Had a dog bed for use! 6. Ample parking. 7. Secluded home but close to town. It was our home base for a family reunion while at the same time, a family member had a planned hospitalization at Duke. Local family came over for dinner and games at the lovely large table. Would book again in a heartbeat! (My daughter asked if she could reserve for a Sweet Sixteen weekend :-)! We also went to a Durham Bulls game, Emerald Pointe, the Planetarium, and the Botanical Gardens (walkable). We'll absolutely book again!

This house is close to UNC, the arboretum, and walking trails accessible from the house. Very unique house with a beautiful yard. Kitchen and eating area was great for a family meal. We were able to spend the weekend together and not be on top of each other. Good communication from owner throughout.

Amazing library of books. Beautiful home. All our needs were met.
